105th Infantry

1985.190 State Color Horstmann Brothers and Company v2p351
105th Infantry, State Color. Composed of men from Jefferson, Indiana, Clarion, Clearfield, Westmoreland, and Venango counties, the 105th was formed in September 1861. They were presented their state color on January 5, 1862. Evidence suggests the state color was retired after the regiment's 1863 campaign and returned to Harrisburg. The regiment was mustered out of service on July 11, 1865.

1985.191 National Color Unknown v2p352
105th Infantry, First National Color. Composed of men from Jefferson, Indiana, Clarion, Clearfield, Westmoreland, and Venango counties, the 105th was formed in September 1861. The first "national" color actually had the state coat-of-arms adorned on it, and its source is unknown. On October 27, 1864 the flag was captured. After most the men re-enlisted at the end of 1864, the regiment was mustered out of service on July 11, 1865.

1985.192 Regimental Color Unknown v2p352
105th Infantry, Second Regimental Color. Composed of men from Jefferson, Indiana, Clarion, Clearfield, Westmoreland, and Venango counties, the 105th was formed in September 1861. After most the men re-enlisted at the end of 1864, the regiment was mustered out of service on July 11, 1865. The flag's condition indicates it was obtained very late in the war, however no information has been found to indicate the use of the flag.
